Siding with the Engineers seems more powerful than siding with the workers, because the Factory Inspectorate adds Work Safety. High Motivation is critical for this, so I made sure to get the Chapel as one of my first few laws (I think it was third, then the Evening Service as forth) and used it whenever I could. I managed it on Survivor Mode, and the key for me was to realize that instead of building the generator parts piecemeal, I should gather all of the resources I would need to build one stage, put down the construction sites for that entire stage, set them all to 24h shifts + shift management, wait for a day with low toxic fumes, and then turn on two ventilation plants (you can't run two all the time, but you can run two when building generator parts and leave them off at all other times) grab all the workers, throw them on the construction sites, and essentially finish the stage in a day, with safe construction sites accross the board (due to low toxic fumes and two vent plants). Am I missing something? Does anyone have any hidden techs to share with me? I know there were a good number of people around here who didn't have much trouble. Using the ventilation plant, Inspectorate and safety procedures is sometimes not even enough. Work safety is also insanely hard to manage to me, even with the Factory Inspectorate. But the lack of steel means I couldn't build the safety equipment for the Source event and had to seal it off. I just failed my 3rd attempt, I thought it was because I wasn't ordering workers enough but I still struggle with gathering resources, especially steel - wood isn't so hard because of the sawmill, and coal isn't too bad either although I definitely wouldn't be able to support 2 ventilation plants.
